9/4/09 David Jay in Orlando

I had a really good time with Mel @ the David Jay seminar in Orlando. I was amazed by how he understands things. He doesn't over think things!!! which is awesome. I think everyone there last night walked away with a good bit of knowledge and a better understanding of how to relate to clients and how to work smarter not harder!

The seminar did run a tad bit late, and Mel and I were starving when it was all over so we sat down to a wonderful McDonalds dinner LOL. The drive home seemed to take forever and I had set cruise control to 70! I'm just thankful I didn't fall asleep.

I did take photos... very strange photos but photos all the same... I didn't take them till after I dropped Mel back off at her house... well I took one horrid photo of David Jay with my point and shoot, poor guy has red demon eyes...

Me trying to stay alert and entertain myself on my way home from dropping Mel off...

I was amazed that my little point and shoot could do that!!!!

The lights behind me in my rear view mirror... I wish they had a dimming effect on them!

The exact time I pulled into my driveway home safe and sound and ready for some sleep!!!!

I was sitting here at 1am and Dani was yawning... I said "you know I'd just now be getting back from the seminar if I could have gone..." and it looks like it woulda been about then! haha

Can't wait to hear about what you learned!

Hey Jess, I meant to ask you in my email also how the workshop was.. as in, did he talk about using better editing tools? Tips on CS3 and his slideshow.. blah, blah.. yeah, I've been blog stalking everyone for more info on his workshop ;-) LOL

Cory.... Ummmmm he uses Light Room... and Mel and I were talking... I don't know why you are so obsessed with editing... She says you just do minor adjustments to your photos... I have no idea why it takes you as long as it does to edit... what you are doing looks fab and you can create an action to do all the work to each of your photos while you sleep... just click one little button!!!!

ANYWAY he did talk about his processes in LR, he does what I've done and created presets for LR and runs those on his photos... He edits he way I do too... in batches like if you have all these shots outside under a tree all the settings for those 10 shots were the same so why not apply the same adjustment to all 10 just select them all and apply...

The slideshows he didn't get into detail though... Although I did learn how to put a song in mine... I apparently have been doing it the hard way for like a year now!!!!!
